"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters." Genesis 1:2

Is there really a God?

This question is asked far too often. Well, for those who rationalize everything with science, please explain to me what came first the chicken or the egg.....Sounds funny doesn't it? But when you really think about it, it's beyond what our mind can handle. Here's another one for those who believe in the big bang theory. There was a big ball of cloud and dust and then out of no where there was an explosion that put the universe together. But once again, where did the big ball of gas and dust come from?

Science has been trying for years to prove that there is no God, but they've yet to succeed. I think people are too scared to believe in God for the basic fear that someone is watching over their every move. They don't want to take responsibility for their sins, and they certainly don't want to think that they'll be paying for them one day. Imagine how much easier it would be to follow the ten commandments if every moment we thought we were being watched by God. The devil will tempt us to make up thousands of reasons not to believe in God. It is our job as Christians and Catholics to not fall into his trap and to always believe that our loving father is there and is REAL. Look outside one day on a beach and watch the sunset in the clear blue sky. That can only be the work of God.
