We live in a fast paced world these days, and we often neglect a simple task that we should do each and every minute of our lives
--simply thanking God. The Lord gives us so much that we sometimes take for granted. There is an infinite amount of things that we all have to be thankful for.

Every morning I wake up and thank God for this day and whatever it may bring because I know it is in His master plan. I thank Him for the air I breathe, the ground I walk on, and all the blessings I have in my life. I’m grateful for the parents and friends He’s given me and I let Him know it everyday.

I don’t think we realize what a simple "thank you" can do for us and for those around us. Just go up to a friend of yours for no particular reason and say, "Thank you for just being my friend." You’ll be sure to receive a smile. Now imagine, every time you tell God "thank you," He’s smiling down on you.

It’s easier to thank God for all the good things He’s given us in our lives, but we must thank Him for the bad as well. If it were not for thunderstorms, we would not know the true beauty in a sunny day. If it were not for sadness, we would not know true joy. If it were not for being lonely, we could never fully enjoy someone’s company. And if it were not for death, we would never know the meaning of life.

There are truly not enough hours in the day to let God know how thankful we are. So take advantage of every second! God makes us smile hundreds of times a week through so many blessings, so why not take a few seconds out of this beautiful day to return the favor?
