Being Who You Are

Have you ever looked in the mirror and asked yourself," Who am I?" You probably haven't, but you should. We get caught up so often today with peer pressure and the urge to be loved by someone, that we often try to make ourselves someone we are not. Have you ever gone to that party where everyone around you was drinking? Inside you didn't want to drink but out of fear of rejection you decided to do it.

Sometimes it goes even further than this. Sometimes you try to change yourself so often that you forget who you really are. I know in my life I have gone through this and let me say it's an uphill battle to get yourself back on track. The only person you should change yourself for is God. Stop looking at things through your friend's eyes and start looking at them through God's eyes.

Don't try to match up to someone else's standards or expectations, be the best YOU that YOU can be. If someone can't love you for who you are then the problem lies with them. Don't be afraid to be a disciple for Christ in every moment of your life. When your back is against the wall and you can't find yourself just remember, "Let go and Let God!!!"
